I’m an engineer and self taught artist. I’ve applied my experiences in automotive restoration toward making creative designs inspired by Nature. My preferred medium is copper. I love that it can be formed into almost any shape and accept a variety of patinas that I enjoy constantly experimenting with.
I take great care in the work that I do. Each piece is handmade in my New Hampshire studio using both recycled and purchased materials. I start by hand cutting a piece of metal and then shaping it using hammers, punches, and dies. Copper pieces are soldered with lead-free solder. Patinas are primarily made from mixtures of common household materials sealed with clear lacquer. The copper patinas will change over the years as they are exposed to the environment, mirroring the constant changes in Nature itself.
